Formation of Seasons
The earth revolves around the sun is an elliptical orbit. It completes its revolution in 365 ¼ days. The axis of the earth is tilted towards the plane of its orbit at an angle of 23 ½ degrees.
The axis of rotation of the earth remains inclined 23.5 degrees towards the plane of its orbit. The axis of rotation remains inclined at the same angle throughout the revolution. In this way, direct rays of sun fall on different parts of the earth at different times and cause a change of seasons.
